Experiment 07

Parametric typography

This experiment takes as an example the exercise of designer Armin Hofmann in his book Graphic Design Manual, in which he proposes a way to create shapes.

With the help of a physical device, 63 font characters were created from different positions of the circles. Some characters that resembled the letters of the word “pandemonium” were selected.

The selections make the project follow a certain course. In a design project, decisions, whether conscious or not, are constant and their quality will come from the repertoire and project experience that each designer has.
